Faculty and Staff
Wee Creekers has a great team of compassionate, qualified staff who are all Canyon residents.
Linda Martin: Director
Linda has her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development from the University of Vermont and over 20 years of experience in the field. She is the Owner and Director. She started Wee Creekers in 2000 because she wanted to make a difference in her own community. She strives to offer the highest quality care possible by hiring teachers who love and respect children first and foremost. Together they provide an environment in which mountain children can thrive.
Melanie: Assistant Director
Melanie is a Colorado native and has lived in the Canyon for 9 years. She is the tenth of eleven children! She has a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in Elementary Education. Melanie has worked with children grades K-6 in a childcare setting and an elementary school setting. She taught preschool for 3 years before staying at home with her own kids for 7 years. Melanie is active in her church and the Coal Creek Canyon community. Melanie is excited to be working again and looks forward to teaching and learning from your children at Wee Creekers!
Candy: Infant Room
Candy is new to Colorado but not to childcare. She began with babysitting at 12. When she married her husband, her stepchildren were 3 1/2 and 5. Now they are in their forties! While helping to raise them she took classes in Early Childhood Education, worked in a preschool and provided daycare in her home. Working in healthcare for the last 16 years, Candy is very happy with the addition of working at Wee Creekers. She works in the Infant Room.
Belinda: Infant Room
My name is Belinda. I'm working at Wee Creekers because I love babies and my two are grown. I've lived in the Canyon for 45 years and I am glad to be working in the mountains.

Aly: Afternoon Aide
I'm Aly. I'm a Senior at Ralston Valley, my favorite color is teal, and I love to work with younger children because I learn as much from them as they learn from me!
Judy: Toddler Room
Judy realized at 21 that she enjoyed working with young children, after working at a college preschool. She has worked at Wee Creekers since September of 2005 in the Toddler room. Before that she worked for Jeffco schools for seven years, mostly in the preschool. In 2006 she took a 48 hour class at Red Rocks entitled Expanding Quality for Infants and Toddlers. She has found that she enjoys working with toddlers very much. She has the love and patience of a true Saint!
Erin: Full Day Preschool Room
My name is Erin Crisp. I’m currently going to college for my teaching degree in Elementary Education. Working at Wee Creekers opened my eyes and helped me realize the love and compassion I feel for kids. I love coming to work every day, not only because of the beautiful children, but because of all the wonderful people who work there.
Cathy: Toddler Room
My name is Cathy Archer. I am originally from Dallas, TX. and moved into the canyon with my family 10 years ago. I'm married and have 2 grown children and a daughter-in-law. I enjoy being with family and friends. I am active in my church and enjoy studying theology. Teaching toddlers is a joy because, I too, love to pretend play, sing, dance and be outside.
Susan: Full Day Preschool Room
Susan is a native of northern Illinois but moved to Colorado with her husband, Greg, in 1981. They have lived in the Canyon for 11 years with their daughters Alison and Lauren. Susan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy from Illinois State Univ. and did her internship at a school for developmentally disabled children and worked mostly with Preschoolers. In Colorado, she has worked at Margaret Walter’s School and Coal Creek K-8 as a Teacher’s Asst. She also did daycare in her own home while she was raising her own children. Susan enjoys baking, cooking, gardening, and playing the piano. She works in our Full Day Preschool room
Jerra: Full Day Preschool Room
Hello, I'm Jerra. I am a born and raised Coal Creek Native! I love working at Wee Creekers and hope to further pursue a career in Early Childhood Development.
Jen T.: Half Day Preschool
Jen has been with Wee Creekers a long time. She brings much experience with preschool and school-aged children, plus she has 2 beautiful children of her own. She teaches the Half Day Preschool program and also helps out with the Kindergarten Enrichment. Jen has more patience than the rest of us combined!Cari-ann: Half Day Preschool
Cari-ann has always had a strong connection to children. Her mother ran a daycare out their home and so Cari-ann learned how to care for children at a very young age. She started babysitting when she was eleven and believes she inherited her mother’s natural maternal instincts and desire to nurture. Ironically, her mother became a preschool teacher where she found her heart’s calling and Cari-ann has as well. She was a brought to the canyon five years ago by answering an ad for a nanny position. She currently works as a nanny for a local family and also wears the hat of the local yoga teacher. She has found that yoga philosophy and children go hand in hand for where there is love there is light.
Helen: Kindergarten Enrichment Program
Helen grew up in Illinois. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Iowa State University. After 9 years as a Sales Rep., she ran a Home Daycare for 7 years. She started working at Wee Creekers in 2003 and loves it! She runs the Kindergarten Enrichment program. Helen is an active volunteer at school, church and Scouts. She has 3 boys ages 12, 15 and 19, who keep her very busy with all of their activities. Helen loves to hike, camp, swim, watch movies and scrapbook.
